This gorgeous little hat is one of my favorites! From it's pretty be-ribboned ears to it's little fuzzy "tail" this bunny hat will be a true heirloom for any newborn.
Many hours went into this hat's creation...from spinning the wool, knitting the hat, and finally softly felting it to give it a soft and fuzzy halo. The cream colored wool
was handspun into a three-ply yarn that is 75% alpaca and 25% merino. The creamy white alpaca was from the first shearing of our girl "CLASSIE" and is
extremely soft After spinning the yarn and knitting the hat it was softly felted by hand in hot soapy water to give the hat a slightly thicker and fuzzier appearance and
then handblocked to dry in shape. The ears are adorned with a cream colored organza ribbon bows and a soft pom-pom serves as a "tail".
The gorgeous bunny hat is about 18" in circumference and will fit a newborn to three months.

I am pleased to introduce "Sophie" a OOAK needle felted bear. Sophie has found a new friend...the ladybug "Mins".
This sweetie was needlefelted out of 100% alpaca fiber and is only 3" in height when she is sitting. She is 4" tall when standing. I used no pattern when I made her
so she is truly one of a kind and unique. Her eyes are sparkly black onyx and are highlighted with a tiny bit of white around them. Sophie is fully jointed at the head
and limbs and can be softly posed.
Mins..the ladybug has been needlefelted from corridale wool roving and has sparkly onyx eyes.

Last week we rented the movie "The Golden Compass". As much as I liked the movie I was more taken with the handknit items the characters were
costumed in. In particular there was this fabulous knitted hat worn by the heroine "Lyra". I couldn't wait to try and recreate this funky hat! This is my
version of Lyra's knitted hat/hood.
This cute hat was handknit from a fabulous blend of angora, alpaca, and wool fibers. The yarn was first handspun on my spinning wheel. I tried to keep a
rustic look to it so the individual strands of wool are spun thick and thin in spots and has slubs and bumps that give great character to the hat. The angora
gives just the slightest bit of halo while the alpaca makes it soft and extremely warm.
This hat will fit a 6-18 month baby or toddler. It is about 19" (unstretched) around the face.

TODDLER'S MARY JANE FUZZY SLIPPERS
Just think how cute your little sweetie will look wearing these fabulous slippers done in a Mary Jane style. Many hours went into the creation of these slippers.
The slippers are first hand knit with a blend of alpaca and angora wool in a gorgeous shade of purple. They were then softly felted by hand in hot soapy water,
blocked and dried to keep the shape. After drying the slippers were brushed to give them their fuzzy halo. The final finishing touch is the pretty floral buttons
for closures.
These fabulous slippers are about 5½" long although they do have some stretchability. They should fit about a toddler's medium in size.
